As an entry point for discussion we have invited Anne Sophie Witzke who is currently working on her dissertation with the working title “Fluid frontiers. Digital climate art as a new technological, cultural and aesthetic approach”. This dissertation is a continuation of Anne Sophie’s earlier work as project manager and curator of the exhibition RETHINK – Contemporary Art & Climate Change, an exhibition that showed contemporary artists dealing with the cultural dimension of climate change.
In her presentation Anne Sophie will give a short introduction to RETHINK and from there primarily discuss how art from a new media perspective is dealing with climate change.
The research seminar is scheduled for Friday the 19th of November and will take place from 13-15 in meeting room Turing 230.
